Con un comunicato ufficiale, Yamaha annuncia il lancio di un proprio marchio nel mercato delle biciclette a pedalata assistita. In occasione di Interbike, il noto evento fieristico della bici in programma a Las Vegas dal 20 al 22 settembre, lancerà il suo brand Yamaha Power Assist Bicycles e nello stand Yamaha sarà possibile visionare i primi prototipi di motore Yamaha.
Non si tratta di una vera e propria novità, dal momento che Yamaha Motor Company Ltd. (YMC) ha lanciato la sua prima bicicletta a pedalata assistita già nel 1993 e da allora ha prodotto oltre 4 milioni di esemplari dell’unità di trasmissione e ha venduto più di 2 milioni di biciclette Yamaha a pedalata assistita.
Il lancio nella produzione delle prime biciclette Yamaha Power Assist è previsto negli Stati Uniti a partire dal 2018.

Yamaha will launch its “Yamaha Power Assist Bicycles” brand to the U.S. at Interbike, the largest bicycle trade event in North America. Yamaha invites bicycle retailers to visit its booth at Interbike in Las Vegas, September 20-22, 2017, for a first opportunity to view prototype models, as the company establishes relationships with specific retailers currently servicing cycling consumers.
