Ad un anno dal lancio della nuova Foxy Carbon, Mondraker presenta adesso la nuova versione Super Foxy, sostanzialmente una Foxy dalle lunghe escursioni e dalle geometrie più votate alla velocità.

L’escursione posteriore sale, infatti, da 150 a 160 mm mentre all’anteriore troviamo adesso una forcella da ben 170 mm anziché 160 mm, con rake mantenuto a 44 mm.

Anche in questa versione il telaio sfrutta la tecnologia avanzata Stealth Air, che consente di realizzare una struttura in carbonio più leggera e basata su una produzione più sofisticata e un’elaborazione interna. Seguendo le attuali tendenze del mercato, la Super Foxy è stata progettata per l’uso di trasmissioni 1X e 12 velocità.

Lo schema di sospensione è il consueto Zero Suspension, già sviluppato specificamente per le ruote da 29″ adottate dallo scorso anno dalla Foxy. Con la Super Foxy presenta una nuova ottimizzazione della cinematica, sviluppata appositamente per gli ammortizzatori ad aria ad ampio volume, oltre che per gli ammortizzatori a molla, con una corsa iniziale più morbida e un rapporto di leva più progressivo per soddisfare le esigenze più impegnative. La nuova cinematica della sospensione, inoltre, sfrutta un nuovo rocker link in pezzo unico e in carbonio. La sospensione, inoltre, sfrutta un perno principale sovradimensionato, avente un diametro di 15 mm, con cuscinetti Enduro Max anch’essi sovradimensionati a favore dell’affidabilità.

Geometrie

Mantenendo la consueta Forward Geometry, la Super Foxy propone geometrie più votate alla velocità, visto che l’angolo di sterzo adesso è di 65°, regolabile di +/- 1°, ma aumenta anche l’interasse a causa dell’allungamento del carro, che sale dai 435 mm a 440/450 mm (anch’esso regolabile). Un allungamento dovuto all’adozione, al posteriore, del mozzo Super Boost da 12 x 157 mm, che rende il mezzo più stabile alle alte velocità, sebbene a discapito della maneggevolezza nei tratti più guidati.
